Sue started her art career in England 30 years ago, studied at Harrogate College of Art, UK and Leeds Metropolitan University, UK , where she obtained a BA Hons in Design/Illustration. Following by a teaching qualification from Huddersfiend University, UK.
Since then Sue has devoted her time to teaching and helping others to develop their creativity, whilst bringing up her son and doing many workshops with Master Artists to developed the fine art side of her work.
Later she went back to Uni to study a diploma in Psychotherapy at Leeds Metropolitan University. This was a stepping stone to understanding human nature with a view to doing Art Therapy.
Sue moved to the US in 2009, where she discovered a vibrant Art Community in Annapolis MD and Key West, FL, Here she has served as the Vice President of the Annapolis Watercolor Club for the last 5 years . . . . Teaching classes for Anne Arundel Community College and getting involved with the Arts Community as much as possible. Now teaching Watercolor Classes at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annaplis. Teaching and life long learning go hand in hand . . . Sue continues to take workshops with her favorite master painters Abigail Mcbride, Hai Ou Hou and Mathew Hillier on the Eastern shore. Artists whose work she admires and who have been a positive influence to her.
Sue has been a member of Annapolis Watercolor Club, Annapolis ArtsAlliance and MD.Federation of Art and the Mid Atlantic Portrait Society. Over the years she has exhibited in numerous Juried and non Juried shows. Her paintings have found homes in Maryland, Florida, the UK and Indonesia.
